With the phase out of the venerable incandescent light bulb, homes and businesses will be converting to new forms of interior lighting. While compact /flourescent bulbs are the current leader in the clubhouses, don't discount the chances of LED lighting. The ultrabright LED's are cool, ultra efficent, durable and are coming down in cost all the time.
Expect to see early adaptors in the form of businesses willing to absorb the higher initial expense for reducted operating costs going forward. As the LED product begins to gain acceptance I expect a reduction in installation expense that will allow the humble LED to gain a foothold in many home and apartments.
After all Compact flourescents contain Mercury which pose health and safety risks and are, at best, a pain to dispose of in an environmentally conscious manner.
